Lib Dem Voice - all the Lib Dem news that's fit to print (and some that isn't)
Liberal England - amusingly eclectic mix of culture and politics
Love & Liberty - Alex Wilcock: probably the most eloquently sensible Lib Dem blogger
Millennium Elephant - amusing, original and perceptive in equal measures
Quaequam Blog! - trenchant views from Lib Dem activist James Graham
Lynne Featherstone - the constituency blog of one of the sparkiest Lib Dems MPs

Best UK news sites
BBC News - the biggest and (still) the best.
The Guardian - without doubt the best newspaper website, with a must-read Media section.
The Torygraph - little attempt at impartial news. But Boris Johnson is always worth reading.
The Times - poorly laid out website of a paper in sad decline. Daniel Finkelstein and Matthew Parris are always worth reading
The Indy - please, please get rid of your bloody firewall
The Sun - utterly meretricious. But at least it keeps me up-to-date with Big Brother.
The Economist - the free-marketeer's gazette; but also the best digest of world news and politics.
FT.com - the only paper to understand the difference between news and views. Philip Stephens and Martin Wolf are essential.
US news and politics
Political Wire - an outsider's inside take, or an insider's outside take?
Wonkette - the sharpest, funniest political blog in the world.
Slate - trenchant and eclectic opinion. Sign up to Andy Bowers' podcasts.
The Daily Show with Jon Stewart - brilliantly smart, funny, sassy take on the day's news from a Democrat wise-ass. Shown on More4 daily.
New York Times - especially worthwhile for its Op-Ed columnists (until they bloody firewalled them).
Washington Post - where most of the world's decisions are made.
Los Angeles Times - for a West Coast perspective.
National Public Radio - listen in to the latest US news. Updated daily.

Oxford Times - the Mail's grown-up, older sibling.

Oxford politics - the other side(s)

Jo's Journal (Lab) - even more strident views from Labour activist Jo Salmon. (But at least we agree about West Wing.)
Matt Sellwood (Green) - nice guy, shame about the politics ;-)
Stuart Craft (IWCA) - a left-wing battler on the wrong side of history. (No longer updated.)
