Today marked the launch of the new OX3 guide, a 24-page colour booklet absolutely crammed full with information local residents in Headington and Marston might want to have to hand at-a-glance.

Huge congratulations are due to the Headington Committee for Development Action (www.hcda.org.uk) who pulled the guide together, and so effectively lobbied the City and County Councils and the local NHS Trust for funding, and sought advertising from local businesses. The guide will be distributed free of charge to 13,000 households in our area, with further coppies available in libraries, health centres, estate agents and local shops.

Here's hjow HCDA itself describes the OX3 guide:

***

"Today sees the launch of OX3 - an invaluable guide and mine of information for everyone living and working in Headington and Marston and most of the communities with the OX3 postcode.

"The 24-page, full-colour guide has been produced by Headington Action - a consortium of community organisations, local government, businesses, schools, churches and major employers. Packed with information on everything you could possibly want to know about the Headington and Marston area, the free guide will be distributed to the 13,000 households in the community and be available through local shops, estate agencies, hospitals, libraries and health centres.

"The handy-sized guide contains details of pubs and restaurants, shops, estate agencies and hotels, doctors, dentists, pharmacists and opticians, regular events, schools and adult education, local groups and organisations, and worshipping communities of every kind.

"Produced by Headington Action (HCDA), this 24-page all-colour guide is about to be distributed to all 13,000 households in the area. It will also be available through libraries, health centres, estate agents, and some local shops."
