Oxford City Council is in the process of setting up online neighbourhood discussion forums, including (I'm delighted to say) for the North East area, covering Headington and Marston. This initiative is being championed locally through Headington Committee for Development Action (HCDA) - www.hcda.org.uk - and managed by Stephanie Jenkins, webmistress of the superb www.headington.org.uk

The Forum is actively seeking members from the local area, so please visit the forum - http://forums.e-democracy.org/groups/oxford-hm/ - and alert your friends and neighbours. The Forum needs at least 100 members to go live, so please sign in and encourage others.

Here's the official invitation I've been asked to forward:

You are warmly invited to join the

Headington and Marston

Neighbourhood Forum

(HMNF) at

http://forums.e-democracy.org/groups/oxford-hm/

The aim of this brand-new online discussion forum is to give people a chance to get their voices heard on issues affecting Headington and Marston. If you live, work, or study in this area, then this forum is for you.

The forum has to have a hundred members before you can start posting messages, so please be patient after opening your account: you will not have to wait long to become one of the first people to have your say.
