Royal Mail - welcome to those of you joining us from Google12.00.00pm BST (GMT +0100) Mon 7th Aug 2006
By my rough reckoning, this is the tenth story I've posted on this site with a complaint about Royal Mail. If nothing else, it's getting me a lot of traffic through Google… In the last seven days, people have accessed my site via the following Post Office-related search terms (these are just a selection):
and, finally, and appropriately enough:
I've got the message. For those of you wanting to know how to register a complaint against Royal Mail, I've posted a quick guide at www.stephentall.org.uk/pages/RoyalMail.html - and don't forget to keep letting me know your experiences at the usual address: stephen@stephentall.org.uk. It's highly useful to keep a log so that we know where and when problems are occurring, and can make representations to Royal Mail on behalf of local residents. Anyway, here's the latest plaintive missive to reach me: *** I receive a lot of parcels delivered by Royal Mail. We have a really good postman, BUT four weeks ago we had a card through the door saying there was a parcel to be collected. We went to the post office showed the card and were given a pile of about 6 parcels that they could not deliver (E Bay I'm afraid!). One parcel I was expecting was not there. I waited another week then contacted the seller who started tracking the parcel. It was sent back to him because we had not called at the post office to collect it!! This is what the card through the door was for. Since then I have been trying to contact SOMEONE, ANYONE who will listen to me at Royal Mail. I get e-mails back saying I have sent an attachment which I have not, and they say they cannot read my post. Onward and upward! I'll battle on. It will be quicker to walk the several hundred miles to collect the item in person!! ***
